The Lombard General Insurance Company of Canada (“Lombard”) appealed a judgment rendered by the Court of Quebec ordering it to indemnify the insured, 3091-5177 Québec Inc. (“Econolodge”) in the amount of $33,600, and Promutuel Portneuf-Champlain, Société Mutuelle d’Assurance Générale (“Promutuel”) in the amount of $25,845, following two auto theft cases that took place in the parking lot of a hotel belonging to the insured parties. The appeal was allowed.
